Job summary

Manpower is seeking experienced Lifeguards for a busy aquatic and recreation facility in Crib Point, VIC. This casual role offers ongoing work with competitive pay, weekly pay, and a varied roster from Monday to Sunday.

Applicants must hold current Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certificates, WWCC, and Police Check (or be willing to obtain). Excellent customer service and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (essential).
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
• Police Check within 30 days or willing to obtain (cost covered).
• Reliable transport to Crib Point.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise pool users to ensure a safe aquatic environment.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as required.
• Conduct routine pool water testing and maintain chemical levels.
• Operate pool cleaning equipment and vacuums.
• Clean pool surrounds and gym/aquatic equipment during quieter periods.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist facility users.

Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring the safety of patrons while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise pool users to ensure a safe aquatic environment
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Conduct routine pool water testing and maintain required chemical levels
• Operate pool cleaning equipment, including pool vacuums
• Clean pool surrounds, sauna facilities and aquatic equipment during quieter periods
• Provide excellent customer service and assistance to facility users
• Assist patrons with basic gym equipment setup when required
• Adhere to all site safety policies, procedures and compliance requirements

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 weeks experience as a Lifeguard, Pool Attendant or in a similar aquatic environment
• Strong commitment to safety and risk management
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High attention to detail and facility presentation
• Reliable, professional and punctual

Essential Requirements

• Australian Citizenship
• Current Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR Certificate
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Current Police Check (within 30 days) or willingness to obtain one (Manpower will cover the cost)
• Reliable transport and ability to travel to Crib Point
• Availability to work a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday, including early mornings, afternoons and evenings
