Job summary

Manpower Australia is seeking a Lifeguard / Gym Attendant for Bandiana Military Area, VIC. This casual role with rotating weekday/weekend shifts offers consistent hours and the potential to transition to permanent employment.

You will monitor aquatic and fitness facilities, perform water testing, respond to emergencies, and deliver excellent customer service within a secure Defence setting. A clear roster supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates required.
• Current Working with Children Check required.
• Current Police Check (within 30 days) or willingness to obtain required.
• Australian Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patrons within aquatic and fitness areas to ensure a safe environment
• Respond to emergencies and administer First Aid and CPR when required
• Conduct regular pool water testing and maintain accurate records
• Perform routine safety and equipment inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the facility
• Assist patrons with enquiries and provide outstanding customer service
• Monitor facility access and ensure compliance with site procedures
• Support the daily operation of the fitness centre and aquatic facilities

Lifeguard / Gym Attendant | Defence Facility | Casual Opportunity with Full-Time Hours

Location: Bandiana Military Area, VIC
Pay Rate: $36.38 per hour + Super
Employment Type: Casual with potential for permanent employment
Roster: Rotating roster across weekdays and weekends

About the Role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Lifeguard / Gym Attendants to join a team supporting a major facility within the Bandiana Military Area.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about health, fitness, safety, and customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patrons using both the aquatic and fitness facilities while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.

This is a casual position offering consistent hours, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate

• Current Police Check (within 30 days) or willingness to obtain
• Reliable transport and ability to travel to site
• Willingness to obtain any of the certificates above

Rough Working Hours

Weekday Shifts

• 5:45am - 12:30pm
• 5:45am - 2:15pm
• 12:30pm - 9:00pm
• 2:15pm - 9:00pm

Weekend Shifts

• Saturday: Approximately 7:45am - 5:00pm
• Sunday: Approximately 9:45am - 7:00pm
