Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is hiring lifeguards for Deception Bay Pool in the Moreton Bay Region on casual contracts ahead of the Sept 2026 to Apr 2027 seasonal period.

Successful applicants will deliver day-to-day pool supervision, safety and customer service, with duties across mornings, evenings and weekends. A passion for water safety and strong communication are essential for this busy community facility.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid (Level 2) required.
• Current CPR certificate required.
• Blue Card required.
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of OHS and public safety in facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pool operations and safety.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.
• Respond to emergencies and perform rescue techniques.

The Role

In preparation for the upcoming seasonal period of Sept 2026 to April 2027, we are wanting to hire a large number of Lifeguards on casual contracts at Deception Bay Pool, which is part of the Moreton Bay Region. Often these roles lead to on-going employment with Belgravia Leisure.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the day to day pool operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2)
• Current CPR Certificate
• Blue Card
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded
