Job summary

Pacific Life Re is seeking a Claims Consultant, Protection in Australia to deliver high-quality claims expertise for Australian insurers. You will work with clients to provide technical assessment, support, and staff development across all protection products.

The role includes assessing Life Insurance Claims for Retail and Group covers, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and supporting the Claims Manager to meet team goals and client plans.

Qualifications

• Previous Claims Management experience in a Life (Re)insurer for 2+ years.
• Background in allied health, occupational therapy, or psychology.
• Experience handling claims for AU Life, TPD, Critical Illness and Income Protection.
• Experience managing non-disclosure cases and legally represented claims.
• Progression towards the Claims diploma.
• Knowledge of Life & Disability Insurance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess Life Insurance Claims across all products for Retail and Group cover and manage stakeholders.
• Provide credible technical support and client-focused activities aligned with client plans.
• Develop technical and personal skills for high performance.
• Support Claims Manager to achieve team goals and standards.
• Contribute to PLRA’s profile and brand in Australia and internationally.
