Job summary

Crown Lands in Newcastle NSW is seeking a Customer & Tenure Operations Officer to support Crown land administration across NSW. You will assess licence and tenure transactions, provide accurate customer guidance, and help maintain land information and records within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a high-volume administrative, customer service or operational environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, procedures and business rules.
• Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working with databases, records management systems or complex information systems.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and process Crown land licence and tenure transactions.
• Provide timely, accurate and practical advice to customers, stakeholders and colleagues regarding tenure and licensing matters.
• Investigate enquiries and assist in resolving complex licence and tenure issues.
• Interrogate multiple systems, products and information sources to provide accurate customer information.
• Maintain the quality and integrity of land information and tenure records.
• Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the team through a variety of coordination and processing activities.
• Apply legislation, policy and procedures to make informed decisions and recommendations.
