Job summary

The Department for Energy and Mining in Adelaide seeks a Licensing and Compliance Officer to support the licensing of South Australia’s energy resources sector. You’ll assess applications, maintain documents and provide clear regulatory advice to industry and government.

The role covers interpretation of legislation, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement of licensing processes, with a fixed 37.5 hour week in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience applying legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines.
• Investigate information, identify issues and formulate recommendations.
• Customer-focused with clear, accurate and consistent advice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, recommend and administer energy resources licence applications and registrations.
• Prepare and maintain licensing documents, maps, licence instruments and boundary information.
• Interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines.
• Provide advice and assistance to industry, government agencies and the public.
• Support the implementation and review of licensing legislation and procedures.
• Maintain regulatory information and records for compliance, audit and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, systems enhancements and process reviews.
