Job summary

Mosman Council is seeking a Library Officer to provide reference and information services, lending, and reader advisory support at Mosman Library Services. You will coordinate inter-library loans and access to multicultural collections, while helping manage collections and data reporting.

The role requires a Library & Information Science qualification, experience with library systems, strong communication, and excellent organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Science (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering reference and information services with library resources and databases.
• Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills in a team setting.
• Highly organised with strong computer skills, including Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service through reference, information, lending and reader advisory services.
• Coordinate inter-library loans, reservations and access to multicultural and community language collections.
• Support management and accessibility of library collections, including periodicals, shelving and collection maintenance.
• Contribute to library operations through data reporting and administrative support.
