Job summary

Riverina Regional Library is seeking a Programs & Collections Officer to develop and coordinate engaging youth and adult programs across its library network. You will oversee key collections and digital resources, liaise with partners, and support community learning and participation.

The role combines program development, community engagement, and collection management, working with branch staff and councils to meet community needs while delivering on a robust schedule of events and services.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in library and information studies (ALIA-accredited) or equivalent in Education/Community engagement.
• Experience in project management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Working with children clearance or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate youth and adult programs for the RRL libraries and their members.
• Liaise with service providers regarding programs and community engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with branch staff to design programs meeting community needs and demographics.
• Administer the RRL and South-West Zone Digital Library eResource collections, liaise with suppliers and manage spend.
• Coordinate RRL Book Club service, including selection and purchasing of titles and kits.
• Ensure SLAs with branch libraries and member Councils are met.
• Create and maintain templates, guides and tutorials for staff and members.
• Assist in outreach services and provide training to branch libraries in youth/adult programming.
• Respond to customer inquiries and backfill related delivery tasks as required.
• Report on activities as required.
