Job summary

The City of Boroondara is seeking a Library Marketing and Communications Liaison to enhance awareness and participation in Library Services through strategic communications, marketing and storytelling. This full-time role (38 hours) reports to the Library Continuous Improvement Lead and offers a pathway to influence how our libraries connect with the community.

Qualifications

Experience in communications, marketing, media, PR, or related role.
Strong written communication for diverse audiences across print and digital channels.
Creative storytelling and digital content skills to support organisational objectives.
Digital skills including Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems, with multi-channel content development.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work produced.
Effective stakeholder management and collaborative working.
Ability to organise work, meet deadlines and handle competing priorities.
Tertiary qualification in communications or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Promote library services, programs and initiatives consistently in line with council brand and governance.
Strengthen internal and external communication channels to improve engagement.
Support community connection with audience-focused, timely communications.
