Job summary

City of Boroondara is seeking a Library Marketing and Communications Liaison to boost community engagement and awareness of Library Services. You will lead storytelling and campaigns that align with Council branding and governance.

You will work closely with internal teams to ensure consistent, creative communications across print and digital channels, with a focus on audience engagement and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in communications, marketing, media or public relations.
• Strong written communication, editing and tailoring content for diverse audiences.
• Creative storytelling and digital content skills for multi-channel campaigns.
• Advanced digital skills including Microsoft 365 and other enterprise tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to organise workload, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Tertiary qualification in communications or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Increase community awareness, engagement and participation in Library Services.
• Promote library services, programs and initiatives in line with Council branding.
• Strengthen internal and external communication channels for libraries.
• Develop engaging content for print and digital channels.
• Collaborate with Strategic Communications and internal library teams.
