Job summary

Liverpool City Council’s award-winning Library service seeks a Team Leader to guide a team within Support & Information Services, overseeing planning, development and delivery of collections and information services to the community.

You will lead policy development, ensure cataloguing standards, manage budgets and collaborate across branches to deliver customer-focused services for adults, juniors and multicultural communities.

Qualifications

• Lead and co-ordinate a team within Liverpool’s Support & Information Services.
• Develop and deliver Information and Collection Development Policies.
• Ensure cataloguing to professional standards with user-friendly access.
• Deliver services across adult, junior, multicultural collections and reader services.
• Manage budgets for Collection Development activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Collection and Information Services team through regular meetings and reviews.
• Develop annual work plans and supervise communications.
• Oversee planning, development and delivery of customer-focused collections and services.
• Monitor performance and report on collections activities within budget.
