Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a dynamic Team Leader for Library Collections to guide six libraries, including major galleries, and to shape reading, discovery and learning for the community.

You will manage staff, develop collections within budget, and build partnerships with suppliers and partners to reflect community needs and voices. A relevant degree and public library experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or post graduate in Library and Information Studies or related discipline.
• Eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
• Experience leading public library services and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Library Collections team across multiple libraries.
• Oversee cataloguing, collections development and budget planning.
• Build partnerships with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
• Plan promotional activities to grow and diversify collections.
