Job summary

FindMeA Pty Ltd is seeking a Level 7 Carpenter to join our Atherton team, with work across the Atherton Tablelands and occasional travel to remote FNQ locations. The role involves constructing new buildings and delivering upgrades, maintenance and repairs to facilities.

The ideal candidate has a minimum Certificate III in Carpentry, current White Card and Blue Card, a valid driver's licence, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Project travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated carpentry skills and trade knowledge.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Experience mentoring apprentices or trainees.

Responsibilities

• Construct new buildings and deliver upgrades and improvements to existing facilities.
• Carry out building maintenance, repairs and preventative works.
• Upgrade kitchens and bathrooms, support social housing painting programs and repair properties affected by extreme weather events.
• Apply carpentry expertise while ensuring work meets industry standards, building codes and safety requirements.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Use basic computer applications and electronic devices to maintain work records.
• Share your knowledge by mentoring and supporting apprentices at different stages of their training.
• Deliver quality service while helping maintain safe, inclusive and professional worksites.
