Job summary

Findmea in Yeppoon, QLD, is seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our busy maintenance and construction team across council assets. You will perform carpentry to plans and maintain buildings and public infrastructure, with a Monday to Friday schedule.

You will need Certificate III in Carpentry, White Card, Driver's Licence, and be able to obtain Working at Heights and First Aid; be safety-focused and reliable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry is required.
• Experience in construction, maintenance and general carpentry.
• Current White Card is required.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence is required.
• Ability to obtain Working at Heights Certificate.
• Ability to obtain First Aid Certification.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Constructing, repairing and maintaining buildings and public infrastructure.
• Completing carpentry works to plans, specifications and quality standards.
• Performing building maintenance across council assets.
• Reading and interpreting building, drainage and pavement plans.
• Conducting risk assessments and following safe work procedures.
• Ensuring all work complies with legislation, Australian Standards and WHS requirements.
• Collaborating with a team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and on time.
