Job summary

BG Group NQ Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Carpenter for a full-time permanent position. The role covers carpentry duties on commercial and industrial projects in North Queensland, with a focus on delivering quality workmanship and meeting safety standards.

The successful candidate will read drawings, measure and fit materials, install frames, doors, floors, and fixtures, and work with a team to meet project deadlines. A Certificate III in Carpentry and relevant site tickets are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials with precision.
• Install frameworks, partitions, floors, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Construct, install, and repair structures of various materials.
• Carry out finishing work including fitting, trimming, and detailing.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Work collaboratively within a team and follow direction from supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Identify and report defects, hazards, or non-conformances.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full time basis. Position Overview: This role involves carrying out a broad range of carpentry and construction duties across commercial and industrial projects.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 based on experience and skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities
