Job summary

Randstad is seeking experienced and reliable Trade Qualified Carpenters to join our team for ongoing local government projects in the Atherton region, QLD. This contract full-time role offers a diverse range of work and the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and development of essential community infrastructure.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Carpentry, a current White Card, and a valid manual Australian driver's license, with a strong commitment to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent Australian recognised qualification).
• Current Licensing: A valid Queensland Construction White Card and any other relevant current trade licenses.
• Fitness for Work: Must be able to successfully pass a mandatory pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
• Driver's License: A valid Australian manual driver's license.
• Safety Focus: A strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction on domestic housing, commercial premises.
• Potential to execute carpentry works for local residential properties, including structural repairs, fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) and local council building standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant worksite at all times.
