IMB Bank in Canberra is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a high-performing team and deliver outstanding member experiences. This hands-on lender-leader role focuses on growing a local business by guiding lending activities, serving members across face-to-face, digital, and phone channels, and building strong referral networks.

You will mentor staff, promote a customer-focused culture, manage daily branch operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen IMB Bank's presence in the Canberra

Qualifications

• Proven experience in achieving lending growth and managing residential home loans from application to settlement.
• Leadership experience with coaching, motivating and developing teams.
• Experience in banking/financial services or customer-focused environments.
• Passion for customer service and building long-term relationships.
• Strong business development and networking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities and supporting business growth.
• Understanding of operating within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive lending growth, build referral networks and create exceptional member outcomes.
• Manage the loan process from interviews to assessment and approval.
• Serve member needs through face-to-face, digital, and phone engagements.
• Generate new lending opportunities through proactive business development.
• Lead, coach and develop a small team to achieve growth objectives.
• Create a customer-focused culture that supports home ownership.
• Identify opportunities to support members and small businesses with lending and banking solutions.
• Build relationships with members, referral partners and community networks.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and regulatory compliance.
