Job summary

Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is seeking a Casual Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to lead the design, development and implementation of programs that enhance residents’ quality of life. Your work will promote autonomy and independence while creating a fun, relaxing environment within the care setting.

You will bring a Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or equivalent, a current First Aid certificate, and the ability to document assessments and progress notes.

Qualifications

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents.
• Strong communication skills.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence.
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
