Job summary

Montefiore is seeking caring, enthusiastic Leisure & Lifestyle Assistants to enrich our inter-disciplinary team at Hunters Hill and Randwick Campuses. This casual role supports residents with holistic programs to enhance quality of life, with a Monday–Friday pattern and potential Sunday work.

Requirements include a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or progress toward it), strong group engagement skills, and experience in aged care, including dementia care.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or working towards.
• Creativity with ability and knowledge of and understanding of effective engagement for groups and individuals.
• Residential aged care experience and experience working with people living with dementia.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate programs for groups and individual therapy.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Previous experience in the delivery and effective implementation of leisure programs.
• Creative and cognitive based skills to run effective and stimulating groups.
• Life skills will be highly regarded.

We are seeking caring, enthusiastic and creative Leisure & Lifestyle Assistants to complement our inter-disciplinary team in providing excellent individual and small group therapy that enhances our Residents’ quality of life at our Hunters Hill and Randwick Campuses.

This opportunity would suit those seeking casual employment. This is a Monday to Friday position, with the possibility of working on a Sunday. As a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant you will adopt a holistic approach to develop, implement, and evaluate ‘best practice’ programs designed specifically for our Residents.
