Job summary

Acknowledge Education invites applications for a Lecturer in Community Services to join the Adelaide academic team. The role focuses on delivering practical, student-centred learning for the Bachelor of Community Services, drawing on experience in case work, social work, youth work, psychology or related fields, with emphasis on Family and Domestic Violence knowledge.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or closely related field.
• Experience within Family and Domestic Violence is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ full time experience in the community services sector.
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice.
• Confidence presenting, teaching or facilitating groups.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting students and developing future community services professionals.
• This position does not require previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach into the Bachelor of Community Services, delivering practical, engaging and student-centred learning.

• Support students at risk and maintain student records.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement in teaching practice.

Education

We are looking fora Lecturer in Community Servicesto join our Adelaide academic team.

This role is suited to an experienced community services professional who are ready to share their knowledge with the next generation. You may come from case work, social work, youth work, psychology, counselling, community welfare or a related field.We are seeking someone with experience within Family and Domestic Violence services to teach specialised units.

You will teach into ourBachelor of Community Services, delivering practical, engaging and student-centred learning. You’ll help students connect theory with real-world practice and build the confidence they need for meaningful careers in the sector.

You’ll be involved in teaching lectures and tutorials, marking assessments, providing feedback, supporting students at risk, maintaining student records and contributing to ongoing improvement in teaching practice.

Qualifications

To be successful, you’ll need:

• A postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related field
• Experience working within Family and Domestic Violence is preferred.
