Job summary

Acknowledge Education in Adelaide is seeking a Lecturer in Community Services to deliver practical, student-centred learning within the Bachelor of Community Services. You will teach lectures and tutorials, mark assessments, provide feedback and support students to succeed.

The role suits an experienced community services professional with backgrounds in case work, social work, youth work, psychology, counselling or related fields, and may involve knowledge of Family and Domestic Violence

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Social Work or related field
• Experience in Family and Domestic Violence preferred
• At least 2 years’ full-time experience in the community services sector
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice
• Confidence presenting, teaching or facilitating groups
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• Genuine interest in supporting students and developing future community services professionals

Responsibilities

We are looking fora Lecturer in Community Servicesto join our Adelaide academic team.

This role is suited to an experienced community services professional who are ready to share their knowledge with the next generation. You may come from case work, social work, youth work, psychology, counselling, community welfare or a related field.We are seeking someone with experience within Family and Domestic Violence services to teach specialised units.

You will teach into our Bachelor of Community Services, delivering practical, engaging and student-centred learning. You'll help students connect theory with real-world practice and build the confidence they need for meaningful careers in the sector.

You'll be involved in teaching lectures and tutorials, marking assessments, providing feedback, supporting students at risk, maintaining student records and contributing to ongoing improvement in teaching practice.

Qualifications

To be successful, you'll need:

• A postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related field
• Experience working within Family and Domestic Violence is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ full time experience in the community services sector
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice
• Confidence presenting, teaching or facilitating groups
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in supporting students and developing future community services professionals

This position does not require previous teaching experience.
