About the Role

Join Curtin University’s Properties, Facilities and Development (PF&D) team where you will look after the day-to-day property management and administration of a diverse property portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys contributing to a high-performing team that helps shape the university’s campus experience.

Your responsibilities include
  • Keep our tenancy schedule accurate and up-to-date, and improve processes and documentation.
  • Raise, review and monitor invoices and disbursements, and work with financial services and tenants regarding payments and outstanding debts.
  • Look after Curtin’s regional housing portfolio including finalising staff leases and rent reviews, and working with local agents and contractors to source, inspect, and maintain properties.
  • Market research and benchmarking, preparing reports, spreadsheets, briefing memos and templates, and helping the Commercial Manager with budgeting as required.
  • Respond promptly to requests for information, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, property managers, and our colleagues in legal, properties and finance to be a calm, effective and helpful problem-solver.
Who we are looking for (Selection Criteria)
  • Considerable leasing and property management experience, preferably in a varied property portfolio.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare clear, accurate and professional documentation.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel), plus experience with Adobe Suite and enterprise financial systems.
  • Strong numeracy, data entry and validation skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills so you can juggle competing priorities with minimal supervision, work well in a team, and take changing priorities in your stride.
Desirable
  • A blend of residential, commercial and retail leasing or property management experience.
  • Exposure to property management trust accounts and reconciliations.
  • Relevant property, real estate or business qualifications, registrations or certifications.
Role Requirements
  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
  • Ability to independently travel across and between University campuses, including regional travel.
