Job summary

Good Samaritan Catholic College Hinchinbrook in NSW is inviting applications for a Learning Support Officer in the Specialist Support Class. The role supports students with complex needs within a mainstream setting, under the guidance of specialist teachers.

You will contribute to personalised programs, coordinate with classroom staff, and help maximise student outcomes in a Catholic school environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding the needs of diverse students requiring individual and classroom support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, supportive and resourceful.
• Willingness to support the Catholic school environment for students.
• Experience assisting students in a classroom setting with disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering quality Catholic education focused on outcomes.
• Support Specialist Support Class within a mainstream school setting.
• Contribute to a holistic, student-centred curriculum and use available resources.
• Collaborate with staff to optimise student learning and participation.
