Job summary

Colo High School in the Sydney Region is seeking a School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) for a full-time ongoing appointment to support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction of a teacher.

The role includes student welfare, health and wellbeing activities, and may involve support in streams such as pre-school, vision support, hearing and bilingual settings, with duties aligned to the Learning and Support Team.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance
• Completion of mandatory training by the Department of Education, plus willingness to undertake first aid training
• Administration of Medications – training to be provided
• Health support training to be provided

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction of a teacher.
• Provide student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Work with students in streams/settings such as pre-school, vision support, hearing support, and bilingual, with additional duties as part of the Learning and Support Team.
