Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) invites applications for a Learning Support Officer at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Portland. The role supports K–6 students with diverse learning needs, working with teachers to foster inclusive participation and skills development.

The position is temporary, part-time (35 hours per week) with term-to-term continuation possible. Successful applicant will contribute to Personal Learning Plans and NCCD data processes within a supportive

Qualificações

• Hold or are working towards Certificate III in School Based Education Support OR a NESA recognised Teaching degree
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check
• Demonstrated ability to deliver effective learning outcomes
• Experience working with children with a range of needs
• Experience in both Primary and secondary schools
• Positive attitude and collaborative nature

Responsabilidades

• Providing in-class support for teachers and their students with learning needs
• Supporting and supervising students with additional learning needs in and out of the classroom environment
• Facilitating the remedial reading program (MacqLit)
• Assisting with data collection and maintenance for legislative compliance (NCCD)
• Administrative tasks in support of NCCD and disability provisions
• Input into the planning and implementation of Personal Learning Plans
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure the inclusion of all students in all learning experiences
• Applying appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment
