Job summary

The NSW Department of Education is seeking a dedicated School Learning Support Officer to assist students with diverse learning needs in classrooms under the direction of a teacher to help achieve educational outcomes.

You will support student welfare, health and wellbeing activities and may provide stream-specific support across pre‑school, vision and hearing support, and bilingual settings to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check clearance is required.
• Mandatory department training and willingness to undertake first aid training.
• Medication administration training provided as required.
• Health support training provided based on student needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms.
• Assist with student welfare, health and wellbeing activities.
• Provide stream-specific support (pre-school, vision, hearing, bilingual) as needed.
• Work under the direction of a teacher to support educational outcomes.
