Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance is required.
• Mandatory training as per the Department of Education; willingness to undertake first aid training.
• Administration of Medications training provided based on student needs.
• Health support training provided based on student needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work with students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
• Awareness of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under the supervision of a teacher.
• Contribute to student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Provide specific support in streams/settings: pre-school, vision support, hearing support, and bilingual as needed.
