Job summary

Dawson Public School in Western Sydney is seeking a School Learning Support Officer on a part-time basis (0.824 FTE) to support students with diverse learning needs under the supervision of a teacher.

The role focuses on student welfare, health and wellbeing activities, and may include duties in pre-school, vision/hearing support, and bilingual contexts; requires Working with Children Check and relevant training.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance.
• Mandatory Department of Education training with willingness to undertake first aid.
• Administration of Medications – training to be provided.
• Health support training to be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments.
• Provide student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Possible duties in pre-school, vision/hearing support and bilingual settings.
