Job summary

Parkes Christian School is seeking a motivated K-12 Learning Support Coordinator to lead our learning support team and collaborate with staff, students, parents and external agencies. You will implement NCCD-informed provisions, Naplan/HSC support, and inclusive Multilit programs.

The role requires strong administrative skills, experience with IEPs, and the ability to work within a Christian school ethos, guiding staff and overseeing enrolments for students with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Requires teaching qualifications and NSW WWCC.
• Experience implementing learning support programs and IEPs.
• Excellent communication with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Ability to lead and organise staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the school relevant to support staff.
• Organise and conduct staff meetings for the Learning Support team.
• Liaise with leadership in timetabling and allocation of support staff.
• Support the spiritual development and mentoring of support staff.
• Monitor academic progress and attendance of LS students.
• Develop and update Individualised Education Plans.
• Foster relationships with parents and caregivers as partners in learning.
• Manage incidents, parent complaints and other issues as directed by Principal.
• Organise and deliver staff devotions as required.
• Oversee enrolment interviews for new students with additional needs.
• Uphold the Christian ethos of Parkes Christian School.
