Job summary

Penrith Christian School seeks a qualified Learning Enrichment educator who is committed to Christ-centred education and collaborative practice. The role focuses on identifying, documenting and programming for students requiring adjustments to learning, with emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy, while writing Individual Plans in partnership with families.

Qualifications

  • Must have NESA Accreditation and a current Working With Children Check.
  • Experience in Educational Support or teaching roles.
  • Knowledge of NCCD requirements for student data and reporting.
  • Experience in writing and managing Individual Plans.
  • Experience with small group intervention programs such as MiniLit, MultiLit is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and document learning adjustments for students.
  • Program for students requiring adjustments to learning with emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists and families and write Individual Plans.
  • Support differentiated instruction and assessment across the learning enrichment team.
  • Provide coaching and resources to staff on differentiation strategies.

Job description

We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and collaborative person to join our Learning Enrichment team. The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator who is a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church.

This role forms part of a team supporting teachers across the school in identifying, documenting and programming for students requiring adjustments to their learning, with particular emphasis upon the development of Literacy and Numeracy competencies. The successful candidate will also be required to collaborate with teachers, specialists and families, and write Individual Plans.

About You

With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into your work. You will have a clear understanding of differentiated learning and assessment, catering for the individual needs of all students.

Along With NESA Accreditation And a Current Working With Children Check, You Will Need To Be Able To Demonstrate The Following

  • a working knowledge of the current requirements in relation to identifying and supporting students with learning needs
  • evidence of success in your teaching and in an Educational Support or teaching
  • knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) requirements
  • experience in maintaining records of differentiation and support strategies
  • experience in writing and managing Individual Plans
  • experience in small group intervention programs such as MiniLit, MultiLit, Cars and Stars is desirable
  • experience in providing teaching staff with support in strategies for differentiation
  • collaborative, innovative and effective practice
  • highly relational interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents
  • a demonstrated capacity to work and contribute as a member of a team
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • flexibility and interest in working in an innovative and dynamic environment
  • excellent ICT skills across a range of platforms

Our preferred start for this role is Term 4 2026 or January 2027 by negotiation. Experience in an educational support role is preferred, but accredited teachers are also encouraged to apply. Secondary school experience will be highly regarded.
