Job summary

The successful candidate will demonstrate expert curriculum knowledge, model exemplary teaching, mentor colleagues and drive school-wide professional learning and data-informed improvement across the learning program.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
• Ability to plan and implement high impact teaching strategies and monitor student learning.
• Proven capacity to use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate with staff, families and the school community.
• Model professional learning and support colleagues to adopt best practices.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice.
• Model exemplary classroom practice including teaching demonstration lessons.
• Work with leadership to develop shared views of effective teaching practice.
• Lead and model whole-school improvement strategies in curriculum planning and delivery.
• Provide professional learning with processes for observation, feedback and peer collaboration.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform development.
• Offer expert advice on context, processes and strategies shaping professional learning.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and coach teachers as needed.
• Promote use of student data to inform teaching approaches.
• Develop school-wide professional learning structures and communities.
