Job summary

Warragul and District Specialist School is seeking an experienced Leading Teacher to advance teaching and learning across the campus. You will coordinate staff to implement school priorities, coach colleagues, and model high-quality practice to improve literacy, numeracy and curriculum delivery.

The role involves leading major improvement initiatives, developing professional learning plans, and shaping policy in collaboration with the school leadership team.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in school improvement.
• Ability to lead whole-school improvement initiatives and priorities.
• Experience coordinating staff development and professional learning.
• Knowledge of assessment and reporting policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to the school strategic plan.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and delivery across key learning areas.
• Provide professional development and development plans for teaching staff.
• Oversee staff performance management and development processes.
• Develop and monitor the school’s assessment and reporting policies and practices.
• Lead the school operations related to student welfare, discipline and safety; uphold school culture.
• Contribute to policy development and school council proposals.
• Develop and manage the school code of conduct.
