Job summary

The Learning Specialist will observe lessons, provide feedback, and facilitate school-based professional learning communities to build excellence in teaching across the school.

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• SC2: Demonstrated expertise in high impact teaching strategies and evaluating student learning growth.
• SC3: Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback using data.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal skills and collaboration with students, staff, parents and the community.
• SC5: Demonstrated ability to model professional learning and reflect on practice.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level teaching and learning practice.
• Model demonstration lessons and provide feedback to teachers.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop shared views of effective teaching.
• Lead whole-school improvement strategies in curriculum planning and delivery.
• Support professional learning through observation, feedback and peer collaboration.
• Model use of student data to inform teaching and professional learning.
