Job summary

LEAP Legal Software is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to own the learning agenda, set strategy, and deliver a unified L&D function. You will launch a Manager Development Program, implement a single LMS, and align training with leadership, onboarding, and product training.

You’ll report to the Chief People Officer, own the budget, and collaborate with executives and external providers to scale impactful programs.

Qualifications

• Led L&D strategy and programs end-to-end, preferably in fast-growing tech or services.
• Experience building learning roadmaps and manager development programs.
• Experience with LMS implementations and reporting.

About the role

As ourLearning & Development Manager,you’llown LEAP’s learning agenda–setting the strategy, building theroadmapand delivering it.You’llbring ourcorecapabilities to life, launch our Manager Development Program, stand up a single Learning Management System (LMS), and bring leadership, compliance,onboardingand product training together into one joined-up L&D function.

This is a build role for someone who moves fast and owns the outcome. Reporting to our Chief People Officer,you’llbe the expert in the room–bringing the plan, making thecallsand keeping leaders informed and on board.You’llknow when to design andfacilitateyourself, when to bring in experts, and how to makea big impactwith creative, cost-effective programs.

What you'll do

• Set the L&D strategy– build and own a 12-month L&D roadmap aligned to businesspriorities, andtake it from plan to delivery at pace.

• Bring ourCore Capabilities to life– embed LEAP’sCore Capabilities into programs, managerdevelopmentand everyday people practices.

• Build great managers– design and launch our Manager Development Program,facilitatekeysessionsand coach leaders to embed learning in their teams.

• Own the LMS–lead theimplementation and continuous improvement of a single platform to host, track and report on all learning.

• Build one joined-up L&D function– lead product training,complianceand onboarding learning so everyLEAPstergets up to speed quickly and consistently.

• Partner and influence– work with the P&C team, Execs, internal experts (Product, InfoSec, regional teams) and external providers to deliver relevant, scalable solutions.

• Measure and report impact– track participation and effectiveness, and use data to show what’s working, whatisn’tand where to invest next.

• Own the budget– plan and deliver programs creatively within financial parameters, finding smart ways to stretch resources further.

What you'll bring

• Proven L&D leadership–you’vebuilt and owned L&D strategy and programs end to end, ideally in a fast-growing tech or professional services business.

• Bias for action– you move quickly, make decisions with imperfect information, launch, learn and iterate. Youdon’twait to be toldwhat’snext.

• Strategy into execution– you turn a big-picture goal into a clear plan,milestonesand results, and keep momentum all the way to delivery.

• Clear, compelling communication– you explain ideas simply, build a business case and bring Execs and leaders with you – in writing and in the room.

• Ownership– you hold yourself accountable for outcomes, keep stakeholders updated without being chased, and flag risks early.

• Adult learningexpertise– strong grounding in adult learning principles and instructional design, and how to apply them to programs that change behaviour.

• LMSknow-how– hands-on experience implementing or managing a Learning Management System, including reporting.

• Facilitation and coaching– a confident facilitator who can engage diverse audiences, from new starters to senior leaders.

• Commercial and creative– resourceful and innovative in delivering high-quality programs within budget.

• Diagnostics certification– ideally in leadership diagnostics such as Human Synergistics (LSI), The Leadership Circle orDiSC.
