Job summary

St Mary MacKillop College is seeking a highly effective Learning Commons teacher to join our staff. This role supports literacy, media literacy, inquiry-based learning, and digital citizenship across two Canberra campuses.

You will work with a small team to promote safe, engaging learning and differentiate instruction for diverse learners. The successful applicant will analyse student data, foster collaboration, and contribute to an inclusive school culture with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching.
• WWVP clearance required by ACT.
• ACT TQI registration or eligible.
• Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education (Canberra and Goulburn).

Responsibilities

• Promote literacy, reading, media and information literacy and digital citizenship.
• Foster a safe and supportive learning environment and differentiate instruction.
• Analyse student data to track learning growth and tailor teaching strategies.
