Job summary

Transport For NSW seeks a facilities leader to manage the Petersham Training Centre. You will oversee day-to-day operations, safety, maintenance and contractor coordination to ensure a secure, high-quality learning environment.

The role focuses on facilities leadership, coordination, risk management and continuous improvement, with an onsite basis at Petersham Training Centre in NSW. Aboriginal employment and accessibility adjustments are supported.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in facilities, safety or building operations within a busy operational environment.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance, contractors, issue tracking, technology operations and safe workarounds through to resolution.
• Strong safety, risk management and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage complex maintenance and safety issues efficiently.
• Sound leadership and people management skills, with the ability to support, coach and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on timely issue resolution and proactive engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Transport Training Centre in Petersham, ensuring facilities are safe, well-maintained and ready to support quality learning delivery.
• Coordinate safety, maintenance, contractors and issue resolution, while keeping stakeholders informed and minimising disruption to staff, learners and visitors.
• Primary focus is on facilities leadership, operational coordination, safety risk management and continuous improvement across the Petersham Training Centre.
