Job summary

NSW Department of Education seeks a Group Leader to manage day-to-day operational and site-based issues across Orange and surrounding areas. You will oversee maintenance programs, capital works, and demountable management to ensure safe, efficient outcomes.

You will lead Senior Asset Services Officers, driving accountability and collaborating with schools, contractors, and internal teams to deliver planned works and address emergencies quickly.

Qualifications

• Well-developed understanding of construction methodology, procedures as well as project management principles.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive stakeholder management experience.
• Understanding and experience in preparation of NSW Government Construction Contracts and procurement processes is desirable to guide a team in delivery of maintenance and capital works.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational and site-based issues including coordinating responses to school emergencies to ensure schools remain safe, functional and operational.
• Lead a team of Senior Asset Services Officers, providing direction, accountability and performance.
• Collaborate with schools, contractors and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and planned works delivery.
