Job summary

AbbVie Australia is seeking a Learning and Capability Partner to connect business strategy with workforce capabilities. You’ll work with National Sales Managers and in-field teams to diagnose capability gaps and deliver practical solutions for leaders, customer engagement, and execution.

This role focuses on translating capability frameworks into real improvements in leadership, decision making, and field performance, beyond traditional training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical sales, learning and development, or commercial operations roles.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with BUMs, NSMs and IFTs, translate business strategy into capability priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret business insights and data.
• Demonstrated success designing and embedding learning programs that drive behaviour change.
• Coaching and leadership development capability to strengthen NSMs’ team performance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Experience measuring impact of capability initiatives including CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate priorities into capability plans.
• Embed capability frameworks within the business and influence key stakeholders.
• Own and manage the capability plan for assigned areas with visibility on priorities and impact.
• Strengthen NSMs’ capability to lead, coach and develop their teams.
• Identify root capability needs using data and insights to design practical learning interventions.
• Design and deliver engaging learning experiences translating strategy into behaviours.
• Support leaders to embed learning through coaching, tools and application.
• Define and track measures for capability initiatives within the framework.
