Balance Mayfield, part of The Wests Group Australia, is seeking enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructors for casual roles in NSW. You will guide students from beginners to confident swimmers, prioritising water safety and a fun learning environment.

Build connections with students, parents, and schools while promoting positive aquatic education. You’ll bring passion for teaching, strong communication, and a patient, adaptable approach to support children in a child-safe setting.

Qualifications

• Essential swimming and water safety certification required.
• Current first aid and WWCC compliance.
• Teaching license for Learn to Swim with water safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Learn to Swim classes in a supportive, engaging manner.
• Maintain child-safe environment and positive relationships with students and families.
• Collaborate with school and community groups for bookings and programs.

About the Role

At Balance Mayfield, we help people of all ages build confidence and skills in the water. Our Learn to Swim program caters to everyone from beginners taking their first strokes through to advanced swimmers and competitive pathways. We also deliver school swimming programs and group bookings.

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Learn to Swim Instructors to join our passionate team on a casual basis. In this rewarding role, you will play an important part in helping students develop lifelong water safety skills while creating a fun, engaging and supportive learning environment.

About You

You are passionate about teaching and enjoy helping others achieve their goals. With a positive and energetic approach, you can build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues while creating a safe and encouraging learning experience.

You’ll bring:

• The ability to engage and motivate students of all ages and abilities

Essential Qualifications:

• Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
