Job summary

Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre is looking for enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructors to join our team across Murwillumbah, Tweed South and Kingscliff aquatic centres. You will deliver high-quality Learn to Swim and school swimming lessons, promoting water safety and teaching fundamental swimming skills, with opportunities for progression into the sport of swimming.

Shifts are available across weekdays and Saturdays within our Learn to Swim Program, with additional hours in other areas where

Qualifications

• Must hold a Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification, or be willing to obtain one.
• Passionate about water safety and making learning enjoyable, informative and constructive.
• Enjoy working with children and engaging them in lessons.

Learn to Swim Instructor - Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre

About the Role

Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Learn to Swim Instructors to join our team across our Murwillumbah, Tweed South and Kingscliff aquatic centres.

You will play an important role in delivering high-quality Learn to Swim and school swimming lessons, promoting water safety and teaching fundamental swimming skills, with opportunities for progression into the sport of swimming.

Shifts are available across weekdays and Saturdays within our Learn to Swim Program, as well as weekday school swimming sessions.

This is a casual role offering flexibility. Once your availability is confirmed and shifts are allocated, we do ask for a level of commitment across the term. Consistency helps swimmers build confidence and get the most out of their lessons, so maintaining regular shifts where possible is highly valued.

About You

We are looking for people who:

• Hold a Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification, or are willing to obtain one
• Are passionate about water safety and believe learning to swim should be enjoyable, informative and constructive
• Enjoy working with children and engaging them in lessons
• Bring enthusiasm for supporting the progression of students
• Are eager to develop as an instructor and open to feedback and ongoing learning
• Have Teacher of Infants and Toddlers accreditation - highly desirable

Opportunity to Build Additional Hours

There may also be opportunities to supplement your Learn to Swim hours with shifts in other areas of the aquatic centres, including lifeguarding, reception or café operations, subject to relevant qualifications and availability.
