Job summary

Bruce Rock Engineering (BRE) is seeking a Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the quality control function and drive a Lean Manufacturing transformation across Australia. This pivotal role will dedicate ~50% of time to lean initiatives, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, and partnering with Engineering and Production to embed quality at every stage.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Lean Management certification or Six Sigma Black Belt.
5+ years in a Lean Manager or similar role within manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.
Strong experience with Lean methodologies and tools: 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, A3, and 8D.
Hands-on project delivery and change management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead BRE’s quality control function and lean manufacturing transformation.
Oversee non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Partner with Engineering and Production to embed quality at every stage.
Drive continuous improvement across quality systems, documentation, audits, and reporting.
Coach, mentor, and empower staff to adopt lean tools and principles.
Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping workshops, and 5S implementation.
