Job summary

City of Coffs Harbour seeks an experienced water/wastewater professional to monitor and optimise treatment processes, interpret water quality data and support dam and water supply operations for reliable community services.

The role includes mentoring team members, driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, with a focus on safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Experienced water and/or wastewater treatment professional with strong understanding of operations, compliance and safety.
• Ability to monitor plant performance, interpret operational data and respond to issues.
• Hold a current Class C Driver Licence and either possess, or be willing to obtain, a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Water or Wastewater Treatment).

• In this hands-on role, you'll apply your technical expertise to monitor and optimise treatment processes, interpret water quality and environmental compliance data, maintain treatment infrastructure, support dam and water supply operations and contribute to the safe and reliable delivery of essential services to our community.
• You'll also play an important role in mentoring team members, driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you need

• You are an experienced water and/or wastewater treatment professional with a strong understanding of treatment operations, compliance and safety.
• You can confidently monitor plant performance, interpret operational data and respond to issues as they arise.
• You hold a current Class C Driver Licence and either possess, or are willing to obtain, a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Water or Wastewater Treatment).
