Job summary

Piling & Concreting Australia is seeking a Leading Hand - Piling to oversee on-site crews across Arundel (QLD) and Bella Vista (NSW). You will lead operations, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate activities with the Piling Supervisor. The role involves travel and working away from home as required.

You will bring hands-on piling experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read technical drawings to guide a growing division.

Leading Hand - Piling QLD Arundel / NSW Bella Vista | Permanent, Full-time | Travel and work away from home required

Our Piling Division is growing, and we’re investing in the people who will help build it. We need a Leading Hand who can turn good crews into great ones. Ready to lead the way?

The role

As our Leading Hand, you’ll be hands-on in the field: leading your crew, keeping operations running smoothly and helping deliver quality piling projects from start to finish.

You’ll work alongside our Piling Supervisor. As the division grows, so will your responsibilities, and we’ll support you every step of the way

What you’ll be doing

• Leading and coordinating daily crew activities on site, drawing on your Bored and CFA piling experience
• Delivering to safety, quality and budget targets, with a genuine commitment to WHS compliance
• Mentoring your crew and building a culture of respect, collaboration and clear communication
• Solving problems as they come up, using your knowledge of piling rigs and techniques and your confidence with technical drawings and specifications
• Keeping accurate quality, environment and safety records
• Maintaining a drug and alcohol-free status

Some of the must-haves

• Willingness to work away from home as required
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Full driver’s licence and reliable means of transport
• Experience operating Soilmec or Casagrande piling rigs
• Concrete and grout pump experience
• Driven timber and steel piling experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excavator, EWP or Working at Heights tickets, or other High Risk Work licences
