Job summary

Alpha Concrete Pumping Ltd. is seeking a Leading Hand Concreter to lead and coordinate crews on high-rise, civil and commercial projects across ACT. You will ensure pours are prepared, quality maintained and work is completed safely and to programme.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, reading drawings, applying RL lasers, and adherence to ITPs and pre-pour inspections. Full Australian working rights and a current driver's licence are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years proven experience as Leading Hand Concreter or supervisor.
• Experience with large-scale pour-and-place operations.
• Experience on high-rise slabs and major commercial projects.
• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
• Confidence with RL lasers and pre-pour inspections (ITPs).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate concreting crews on site.
• Read and interpret structural and architectural plans.
• Set up and use RL lasers accurately.
• Coordinate penetrations, levels and concrete placement.
• Conduct pre-pour checks and identify issues before concrete arrives.

Leading Hand Concreter – High-Rise & Commercial Projects

Alpha Concrete Pumping is a family owned concrete pumping and placement business located across the ACT, VIC and NSW region. About the role

As a Leading Hand at Alpha Concrete Pumping, you will lead and coordinate concreting crews on site, delivering high-rise, civil and other commercial works. You'll be responsible for coordinating crews, preparing pours, maintaining quality and making sure the work is completed safely, accurately and to programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate concreting crews on site
• Read and interpret structural and architectural plans
• Set up and use RL lasers accurately
• Coordinate penetrations, levels and concrete placement
• Conduct pre-pour checks and identify issues before concrete arrives

About you

• Proven experience as a Leading Hand Concreter or in a similar supervisory position (3+ Years)
• Strong experience with large-scale pour-and-place operations
• Experience on high-rise slabs and decks or major commercial projects
• The ability to confidently read structural and architectural drawings
• Confidence setting up and working with RL lasers
• A clear understanding of ITPs, hold points and pre-pour inspections
• Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid and current drivers Licence
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass police checks and pre-employment/ongoing drug and alcohol testing
• Strong commitment to reliability, quality, safety and productivity
