Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a skilled and motivated Leading Hand - Maintenance to join our team at Wolffdene. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for a qualified Fitter or Boilermaker with strong experience in fixed plant maintenance and a passion for safety and compliance.
Lead a small team and coordinate contractors (2-3 direct reports)
Perform maintenance tasks on fixed plant equipment
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and conduct risk assessments
Operate within confined spaces and perform dogging, rigging, and EWP tasks
Use tablets and digital tools for reporting and documentation
Trade qualification as Fitter or Boilermaker
Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance
Strong understanding of WHS compliance and risk management
Confined space, dogging, rigging, and EWP certifications
Computer literacy and ability to use tablets for work documentation
Reliable transport (note: no company vehicle provided)
Starts at 5:00 AM (or earlier) until 4:00-5:00 PM
All hours are paid as overtime (Saturday is typically a half-day)
$40.82 - $42.96/hour
