Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a skilled Leading Hand - Maintenance in Wolffdene, QLD. This hands-on leadership role suits a qualified Fitter or Boilermaker with experience in fixed plant maintenance and a safety-focused approach.

As previously used Leading Hand Boilermaker Location: Wolffdene, QLD Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a skilled and motivated Leading Hand - Maintenance to join our team at Wolffdene. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a qualified Fitter or Boilermaker with strong experience in fixed plant maintenance and a passion for safety and compliance.

  • Lead a small team and coordinate contractors (2-3 direct reports)
  • Perform maintenance tasks on fixed plant equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and conduct risk assessments
  • Operate within confined spaces and perform dogging, rigging, and EWP tasks
  • Use tablets and digital tools for reporting and documentation
Requirements
  • Trade qualification as Fitter or Boilermaker
  • Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance
  • Strong understanding of WHS compliance and risk management

  • Reliable transport (note: no company vehicle provided)
Work Schedule & Pay

Day Shift: Starts at 5:00 AM (or earlier) until 4:00-5:00 PM

Monday-Thursday: 9.5-hour days

Friday & Saturday: All hours are paid as overtime (Saturday is typically a half-day)

Pay Rate: $40.82 - $42.96/hour
