Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to provide hands-on leadership to our trades team while driving safety, quality, productivity and development. This is a permanent role.

As Leading Hand you will lead from the front, plan for productivity, drive quality outcomes and mentor apprentices, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards within a large OEM environment.

Qualifications

• Lead and coordinate daily workshop activities across component and hydraulic cylinder rebuild operations.
• Plan and allocate work effectively to maximise productivity.
• Champion Hastings Deering’s safety standards across the team.
• Mentor apprentices and tradespeople to develop competencies.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency.
• Maintain high workmanship standards across all work.

Responsibilities
