Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a Service Supervisor in Mackay to lead workshop operations, mentor Leading Hands and tradespeople, and drive safety, quality and customer outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee daily workshops, support estimating, manage work orders, and ensure efficient resource use while maintaining high safety standards. This role is a permanent, weekday position located in Mackay.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified leader with diesel/plant equipment knowledge.
• Experience supervising teams in workshop, service, mining, construction or heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment maintenance and service operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshop operations and drive team performance.
• Oversee daily workshop activities and enforce WH&S compliance.
• Coordinate meetings, manage work orders and improve productivity.
