Job summary

Tweed Shire Council in Chinderah is seeking an Operations Coordinator - Electrotechnology to lead and optimise the Council's Water and Wastewater electrical assets. You will oversee maintenance, projects and emergency responses while guiding teams to deliver safe, reliable and efficient services.

The role requires hands-on electrotechnology expertise, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrotechnology professional with strong experience in industrial electrical operations.
• Proven leadership skills capable of motivating and leading high-performing teams.
• Hands-on expertise in water and wastewater electrical systems, instrumentation and control technologies.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and safety compliance.
• Proactive problem-solver with fault-finding skills and experience using asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical and Electronic Technician teams supporting critical Council infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance, projects, contractors and emergency response across Water and Wastewater assets.
• Drive safe, reliable and efficient service delivery through strong operational leadership and planning.
• Champion team development, workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and stakeholder support to optimise asset performance and service outcomes.
