Job summary
Northern Star Resources is seeking an experienced Group Mining Engineer to lead our Underground division from our Subiaco corporate office. This permanent full-time role involves directing the corporate underground team, providing expert technical guidance to executives and operational leaders, and shaping mine planning and feasibility studies.
Reporting to the GM - Technical Services, you will drive JORC reporting, audit life-of-mine processes, and ensure safe, efficient underground operations
Qualifications
- 15+ years of underground mining experience.
- Experience leading mining studies and feasibility work.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation for underground mining.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the corporate underground technical team.
- Provide expert technical advice to executives and operational leaders.
- Lead mine planning, technical studies and feasibility assessments for projects.
- Coordinate the annual consolidation of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves for JORC reporting.
- Reviewing and auditing processes and systems across life-of-mine planning, design, scheduling, project evaluation and execution.
